OVERVIEW

MINI HEATERS

HDE’s asphalt heaters will heat up and soften a localized area of the surface course of asphalt so that it can be re-worked and re-compacted to eliminate surface deterioration. The highly efficient infrared heaters can soften asphalt to original mixing temperatures in 5 to 10 minutes, making repair of an asphalt surface effective and economical. Potholes, surface cracks, bad joints, bird baths, catch basins, and manholes can be economically repaired with minimal time expended and minor traffic re-routing.

HDE's patented design allows achievement of highly efficient infrared heat, without the use of any blowers or batteries. The entire surface of the heater is infrared with no open flame, which can cause damage to the asphalt properties. The heater works under varying pressures from 5 to 50 psi, giving a wide range of heat intensity with no chance of blow-out in high winds. The HDE heater has one of lowest operating costs on the market. A typical heater can cost as low as $ 1.50 per hour to operate.

ADJUSTABLE TEMPERATURE

HDE's heaters are capable of running at pressures of 5 PSI up to 40 PSI. HDE's unique High/Low system allows the operator to heat the patch with a higher temperature for the first 5 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of low heat. This enables the operator to reduce the fuel usage while the heat is penetrating deeper into the already heated patch.
